Zen Commuter

Oct 27, 2016

Since yesterday, for the rest of the week, I am getting you prepared for Change Your Life Week here on ZEN commuter.  It happens next week and the goal is pretty self-explanatory.  We often go through life thinking we have hundreds of years to live, that we can make changes later, say sorry or laugh more.  The reality is that life does end, and sometimes quickly.

Bronnie Ware, a nurse who tended to the needs of the dying, wrote an amazing book that discussed the regrets of those who were on their death beds.  Here it is how it is described on Amazon

"Bronnie has had a colourful and diverse past, but by applying the lessons of those nearing their death to her own life, she developed an understanding that it is possible for people, if they make the right choices, to die with peace of mind. In this book, she expresses in a heartfelt retelling how significant these regrets are and how we can positively address these issues while we still have the time."

Today I want to look at those regrets one by one and see why they are happening.  Tomorrow we will talk about how to go about making sure those regrets are never realized.
