“How much time he gains who does not look to see what his neighbour says or does or thinks, but only at what he does himself, to make it just and holy.”

- Marcus Aurelius

Even though we no longer fight the elements daily or come up against dangerous beasts we still find the need to be part of the group.  In trying to become part of that group we perform numerous comparisons to see if we have value.  We compare ourselves to others to see if we are wealthier, more or less beautiful, smarter or less intelligent?  For what reason.  It no longer is necessary and more to the point not only is it not necessary it negatively impacts our ability to be happy.

Today I talk about seven ways that comparing yourself to others leaves you less happy

Topics Discussed in this Episode

  • Why we compare ourselves to others
  • How it drains you of a richer life
  • The reason you are unique
